Raven Boer is a student artist at Yavapai College in Northern Arizona. She was born in the California Bay Area and currently resides in Arizona’s Verde Valley where she creates her work. Her studio oil paintings capture still-lifes that are inspired by the 17th-century Dutch genre called Vanitas. Her style also draws from influences of American realist painters like Edward Hopper and Wayne Thiebaud. Raven enjoys working from live models in both portraiture and figurative work. She is an active plein air painter participating in Plein Air Festivals throughout Arizona.
